Business local travel expenses

I understand that driving from my home to my business location is a commute and, therefore, not deductible. However, if I stop by a supplier to purchase business-related supplies on the way to my business location, are the extra miles deductible?

Home to temp work location -store- is commute. Onward to office is deductible
