Bug in desktop Deluxe 2023 for Mac

I assumed a statement was a K-1 and started to enter information.  The form is actually a 5498.  TurboTax will not let me delete the information erroneously entered and keeps asking me to enter more of the information as if I have a K-1.  TurboTax is flagging the entry as an error, even though I went back and entered "NO" as to whether I had a K-1.  I'll soon find out if it will let me still file my return!

To delete a K-1 entry (I tested this with TurboTax Home and Business for Mac), try these steps:

  • Go back to the main screen for Income
  • Find the Business Investment Income section
  • Click Update next to Schedule K-1
  • At the next screen, select Update for the type of Schedule K-1 you want to enter or edit
  • The Schedule K-1 you started to enter should appear on the next screen, with buttons to either Edit or Delete.
  • If you click Delete, another screen appears asking if you are sure.
  • If you confirm you want to delete the K-1, it is deleted.

  • Click on Forms at the top menu bar to switch to Forms mode
  • Review and confirm that there is no K-1 form
