Box 12w on my W2 shows $5500. When i go through the steps in turbo tax, i have not entered in any additional values for HSA anywhere. Why is it saying i overinvested?

according to the IRS, $7100 is the limit for a family and my HSA investment, through my employer, has not exceeded this amount for my family of 4.  Not sure why the turbotax tool is triggering this over investment.

It sounds like you did not overcontribute to your HSA with a $5500 contribution for a Family plan.

Go back through the HSA/HDHP interview and check your entries, going completely through that section.
