Been unsuccessful importing my 1099-INT from Bank of America using TurboTax 2020 Mac. Got the verification code but after that there was an error. Has anyone done it? Thx

The error was kind of generic without much details. I have been successful all these years. I have also checked that Bank of America definitely has the document ready on their website.

Hard to know whether there is an issue or not.

The 1099-INT  PDF file you might see in your Bank account is not the same as the tax download file, that has to be specially-formatted and may not be created at the same time.

OF course, you could have manually entered your 1099-INT and it's data in 5 minutes.

Thanks for the reply. This evening Turbo Tax has an update. And after the update, import from Bank of America is now successful.

Yeah, I have given up. I just entered the data myself since it's pretty easy, in this case.

I'm having the same problem for 2021 returns. Did you resolve the problem?

If you can't import successfully, here's How to Enter 1099-INT.

I didn't get the same problem this time in 2021. The import was successful. But last year, I entered the information myself.
