At what point do I enter an Identity Protection PIN?

Here is how to enter your 6 digit IP PIN: Let me know if you need more help.

  1. Click on Federal in the left column
  2. Click on Other Tax Situations at the top of the screen
  3. Scroll down to Other Return Info
  4. On Identity Protection PIN, click the Start button

Followed posted instructions to enter 6 digit IP PIN.  When attempting to file Entered 6 digit IP Pin is not recognized. Is there an additional step to be taken?

In the 2019 Home & Business Download:

  • Go to Personal Tab
  • Go to Other Tax Situations Tab
  • Go to IRS Identity Protection in List
  • Enter IRS IP PIN
