As a self employed contractor, can my husband deduct a daily per diem on lodging for extended stays. I was told it is $89 a day and hotels are over twice that

I am not getting an answer to my question. My husband is self employed and travels for extended stays . Is there a standard daily deduction for lodging or a hotel rate per day

No, there is no standard "hotel" limit for the deduction.

There is no "per diem" for lodging like there is for meals & incidentals ... you will claim the actual amounts paid for lodging.
