Are my grocery expenses deductible? I am a model and have to stay in shape/a certain size/measurement to book jobs; healthy eating is a big part of that.

I spend a lot of money on groceries to ensure I eat well so I can stay within my measurements that are listed on my modeling agencies' websites. Clients often book models based on your look and measurements, so if I were to show up to a booking and be bigger or smaller than what is listed on my profile, the clients will be taken by surprise and likely be dissatisfied with what they requested versus what they got lol. Help? 🙂

No.   Groceries are not deductible on your tax return, nor is going to the gym, etc. to stay fit.   Those are personal expenses.

Are you self-employed or do you receive a W-2 from an agency?
