Are capital gains and interest earned subject to self employment tax?

Hi 

If you only have income from capital gains and interest, do I need to pay for self-employment tax?

No but will need TurboTax Premier.

Earning from work other than what is reported on a W-2 is what triggers SE tax. Capital gains and interest are unearned income.
