Apparently TurboTax failed to have their software ready for the EV tax credit. I see options elsewhere. After many years of being a customer, sad to see this blunder.

Complain to the IRS for not having it ready for tax software while you are complaining.   Then look at the long list of federal and state forms that are not yet ready in mid-January.

Click Review to see if you are missing some forms needed in order to e-file.

Many federal and state forms are not yet available.  Check here for form availability. The dates are subject to change.

Tax form availability tool,

No hurry to e-file since the IRS will not begin to accept/reject 2023 e-files until January 29.   And….a state return cannot be accepted until after the IRS accepts your federal return.

Since the IRS has not updated the instructions for IRS Form 8936 to tax year 2023 it would seem other tax preparation companies may have a problem with their tax returns.
