App not completing 2023 tax filing is looping will not complete after manually filling out w2, as app would not accept the Efile pdf

What "e-file pdf?"   What did you try to do?  You cannot use a pdf to transfer the prior year to the next year.  You need the tax file.

You cannot e-file a 2023 return; e-filing is closed for 2023 returns.   A 2023 return must be filed by mail.  It must be printed, signed and dated in ink, and mailed in to the IRS and state.

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s.  Use a mailing service that will track it, such as certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.

 

Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses.  Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.
