Amending Form 1040 for filing status change from MFS to MFJ

I am trying to amen in order to change the MFS filing status to MFJ status. However, I am perplexed, and I need guidance. Here's my question - Which Form1040 should we use to amend the filing status (from MFS to MFJ)? Do we use the Taxpayer's Form 1040 or the Spouse's Form 1040, or do we file 2 Forms 1040-X to amend each of the previously filed Forms 1040? Any thoughts? Thank you.

Just use 1 of the returns to amend.  Probably the main taxpayer or the one that has the most complicated return or who you want to be listed first on the Joint return,  then add  all the other spouse and income to it.
