Amend Return - I filed 2021 federal tax return and realized the mistake of not adding one W2. Started modifying the tax return in Turbo Tax. Now when I try to amend return it starts with the updated copy. Is there a way to amend original return in TT?

Click on Cancel Amend on the left side of the online program screen.

 

Then return to the 2021 tax return and delete the W-2 you entered after filing the 2021 tax return.  Once that has been completed you can amend the 2021 tax return to add the W-2.

 

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

 

When you sign onto your online account and land on the Tax Home web page, scroll down and click on Add a state. 

This will take you back to the 2021 online tax return.  Delete the W-2 you added.
