After I paid for filing federal and state taxes, next page indicated that the direct debit option was not available for me. Why not?

Greetings...are you waiting on a form to be finalized by IRS for TTax? I have the same issue, & posted about last week. A helpful member indicated that after this form becomes available, Direct Debit for paying taxes owed should become available to me. Form 8606 for IRAs should be available this week, so we shall see.....

You may live in a state that does not support Direct Debit. Please see the TurboTax FAQ What is direct debit and how does it work? fore more information.

Thanks for the answer. However, i have used turbotax for many, many years, and always could use direct debit in those years. So this is brand new, for unknown reasons.

Is it for your federal or state tax due?  Federal should take direct debit.  But if your state doesn't then say you will mail a check and then you can probably go to the state website and pay online there.  Same for federal,
