Adding extra taxes due to an Estimated Tax payment

Recently I transferred money out of an annuity to cover a 2023 RMD.  Taxes were not taken out, but I want to add the Federal tax amount to an upcoming 4th Quarter Estimated Tax payment I have coming up due soon.  I plan to pay my 4th Quarter Estimated Tax in December.  How would I add an additional amount to that payment to help cover the taxes due from the RMD?

If you are asking about changing the form that TurboTax prepared for estimated tax payments, you can just cross out the amount printed on the form and write in the new amount total.

Or you can just ignore the form and log on to Direct Pay and pay the total amount. Here is a link: https://www.irs.gov/payments/direct-pay

You can make tax payments at the IRS site below.

Is this an orphaned post? Otherwise, it is good information.

Not sure why it wasn't attached to the Marco7 post you just responded to. That's the post I was trying to answer.

This has happened previously, and I informed the moderators. Posts sometimes get moved and/or somehow detached from a thread. I'll try to move it to the right thread.

OK, I think that did it. Strange, how that occurred for some reason.
