Activation Code

Purchased TT Deluxe and TT Home & Business (disks).  My mother inadvertently installed/activated the H&B on her computer/account instead of the Deluxe.  When I installed the H&B on my computer/account, I'm unable to activate the software (error message stating already activated on another account).  How do we "un-activate" the H&B from my mother's account so I can use it on my computer?  We will ultimately install the Deluxe on her computer and activate it in her account.  Please help!

You do not need two different TurboTax desktop editions for tax year 2023.  All the TurboTax desktop editions have the same forms, schedules and worksheets.  So you can use the H&B edition on both computers and return the Deluxe edition for a refund.

 

You cannot un-activate the software once the license code has been used to install the software.  All you need to do is use her TurboTax account to activate the H&B edition on your computer.
