Activate TurboTax (Failed) for a download from TT (Success) using license code from Package (First time install).

TurboTax Deluxe 2020 - Activation (screen) -- There was an error with validating your license code, please try again. Error code 630. Is there a Delay between using new license key for the First Time on the Download Server(s) and that same key being propagated to the License Server(s)? If so, how long?

Win 11.

Since I am doing 2020 now, a few hours won't hurt, LOL... Unless I am barking up the wrong tree.

Thx

SOLVED!!!

License Code "expired", although it was valid for the download🙃 New one was supplied which means another order had to be placed in the system and can only be done at level 3 (catch me if you can) 😀

'My' story:

Purchase TT every year from my vendor but only open/file when I get around to it. So my 2020 version has never been used.

Level 1: Brain dead AI or automated assistant takes you around and around in circles before getting a human. HINT: Skip the part about Links/Emails ("Just Say No"). Don't bother with getting your name correct, that's a rabbit hole, just roll with it! When you get past all of that, comes Level 2 (xfer to human).

Level 2: Will finally realize what you already know, the code does not work and is not found by the validation process. After trying thing from a bag of trick, will finally realize there is nothing to be done here. All the while, suggestion to escalate because privileges  are not available at this level.

HINT: Don't bother trying to save time by providing dead ends already traveled. This level must follow a script.

Level 3: Knows and has privileges.  Fixed in a few minutes.

I asked about '21 and '22 🤣 ... Apparently this is not uncommon with '20.

Wrote all of this as preparation for the next poor soul, in hopes that you keep your blood pressure in check😎
