I have used Turbo Tax for years. Especially like the feature of being able to directly download my Edward Jones account information. Has worked fine all these years.. BUT, this year it would not recognize my User Name/Password. Tried everything I could think of before calling (at the suggestion of my EJ Advisor) Turbo Tax.
Spent maybe a half hour talking to Turbo Tax (TT) tech. Got no where before he finally sent me a email with 14 different responses like you would see in FAQs. Read through them. Tried a couple of things, but nothing wording. One however caught my attention (https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/3677057) . He changed browsers from Chrome to Microsoft Edge. Then accessed his EJ account successfully. Possibly it reset something.
I don't use Chrome but do use Edge. I still have Internet Explorer on my desktop. Went to Explorer and tried to access my EJ account. Not surprisingly it did not work. BUT then accessed EJ with Edge. Then opened TT and successfully downloaded my EJ account. Some techie out there might know why this approach worked. I assume it reset something that allowed access.
