ACA 1095 form

TurboTzx wants information on 1095A. but I received 1095B from my insurance carrier and 1095B does not contain the information TurboTax seeks.

If you did not receive health coverage from the marketplace (ACA) you should not have form 1095-A.  Be sure you did not answer yes to that question in that case. The 1095-B is informational and does not have to be reported.

If you received a 1095-B, you do not need to enter this information into TurboTax.  It is for your information only.

You only need to enter your information from your 1095-A in order to determine if there is a premium tax credit.

Go to your Federal interview section.

  1. Select Deductions & Credits
  2. Scroll down to All Tax Breaks
  3. Select Medical
  4. Select Affordable Care Act (Form 1095-A)
