8895 Form is marked 'DO NOT FILE'. What does that mean?

Just finished the tax return and printed out the all required forms for mailing, but the 8895, QBI deduction form is marked 'DO NOT FILE'(see the attached screenshot). What does that mean? If we cannot mail the forms because of QBI and Turbotax still doesn't support Federal efile this year for QBI. What should we do?

The IRS has not finalized the form yet. Please see this LINK. You will have to wait for the IRS to finalize it.

The IRS has a final form 8895 on their website, why is my software not able to update?

Once the form is finalized by the IRS, it has to be coded into the special language the software uses and has to be thoroughly tested for calculations and e-filing acceptability before it becomes available in tax software programs.

Howzit!

The form 8895 is still not available even though I had signed up to receive an email when it was ready and then in fact received an email from TurboTax that it was ready last night.

As of today around 10:45 am MST it is still not ready to file.

Does anybody have info?

Thank you!

It is available and has been released.  If you have updated your software and it still does not show up, you'll have to uninstall and reinstall and it will work then.  That is what I had to do and it worked and I was able to file.

I updated the software, but still don't get it.

I cannot efile due to the form 8895

@manbeing Are you referring to the Form 8995?  You may have to uninstall and reinstall the software to see the corrected form for printing and filing.
