2nd home

2nd home in TN, 1st in CA.  We both work from home 100% of the time for large corporations.

in 2022 we will file in CA - what do we need to do if we want to file from TN in 2023?  Do we need to live in TN so many months of the year?  Can we file in TN if purchased 2nd in Aug 2022, any advantage to doing so?

Tennessee does not have a state income tax so there is no Tennessee state tax return to file.

Added info......   We are keeping both properties and spending a few months at a time in each.  Both are set up in a trust.  Also TN does not have income tax so moving our business address to TN allows us to file from TN?  Think it saves around 7.5% CA income tax yes?
