2023 Turbotax is not allowing me to save my file (desktop version)

Hi there,

I downloaded and activated a copy of 2023 turbotax.

I have just spent hours getting all of my entries done, and want to sit on this to review tomorrow before I submit.  The program will not allow me to save my file.

I've tried save as, save as pdf,  I've gone to forms to try to save or print a form, nothing is working.

I'm so worried I'm going to lose all of this work!

The error message seems to indicate it's trying to default to a path to a filename. I've tried to rename, still won't work.

The error message basically states:

<filename>

File not found.

Check the file name and try again.

Ok, finally figured out what's going on.

It was trying to save to my OneDrive folder (which it didn't like). When I changed to Save As and select to save to a folder directly on my computer, it did save correctly.

This is a bug! I should be able to Save As the file to either my harddrive or my OneDrive account.

I am having the SAME problem trying to save to Dropbox (which I have been doing since about 2014 successfully).  I also know that a month ago I was able to save to dropbox when I created my mother's tax return using the SAME software (before it was just updated) with no problem.

It is baffling that in 2024 a commonly used program like this could have this type of bug.  I hope it gets fixed soon
