2022-1040SR “Married filing jointly” was missing 1 of the 2 wife's last names. Calling IRS we could not find an option to ask if this is a problem?

I thought that maybe IRSwill send a letter requesting to correct the error.

If there is a problem the iRS will let you know.

If the first four letters on the 1040 match your spouse's surname and the SSN is correct, there will be no issue.
