2020 7202

1) Will the 2020 Software have the 7202 form in it? I can't amend my 2020 taxes on the current software. I am being told to amend the 2020 taxes I need to buy and download the 2020 Turbotax software and before I do I just want to know.

 

2) Do I need to use a 1040X to file a 7202 or can I just mail in the 7202 if it turns out that form is not on the 2020 software?

1) Will the 2020 Software have the 7202 form in it?   YES     I can't amend my 2020 taxes on the current software.  NO     I am being told to amend the 2020 taxes I need to buy and download the 2020 Turbotax software and before I do I just want to know.  Correct ... you need the 2020 program to amend a 2020 return or you can do it manually ... get the forms off of www.IRS.gov

 

2) Do I need to use a 1040X to file a 7202 or can I just mail in the 7202 if it turns out that form is not on the 2020 software?  To make any changes you must file an amendment to add the missing form.
