2020- 1 time payment for wildland firefighting from county - not my employer. No W-2. Was listed on line 1 as HSH. No sched C or other form reqd. Why now for same thing?

Is there a way to manually input a single payment of misc. income on line 1 of 1040SR?

You can enter income that should have been reported on form W-2 in TurboTax and it will appear as wages on your federal tax return.

Start in the Federal section of TurboTax. Choose the Income and Expenses option, then Less Common Income, then Miscellaneous Income, 1099-A, 1099-C. Choose the Other income not already reported on a Form W-2 or Form 1099 option. Work through that section and you will come to a screen that says Any Other Income, where you can indicate that you earned other wages and that the source of the income was employee compensation that was not reported on a W-2 form.
