2019 no entry 1040 box 4a 2018 had large amount nothing changed from 2018 to 2019 except TAX CPA vs TTAX

fter I completed 2019 using turbotax there is no entry on form 1040 box 4a. In 2018 a tax CPA did the taxes and there was a large amount in 2018 1040 box 4a nothing changed from 2018 to 2019 except TAX prepared by CPA in 2018 vs TTAX for 2019.

Did you report an IRA withdrawal in 2019?

Unless there is an exception, the distribution amount in box 1 of the Form 1099-R is entered in on Line 4b of the Form 1040 and Line 4a is left blank.

Do you have an amount on 4b?  If the amount on 4a is the same as 4b it doesn't need to print it on 4a.  Or did your withdrawal or rollover show up on 4c & 4d instead?
