When I import from brokerage firms, the 1099-Rs do not get imported. Is this correct? And if so why?
I have a 1099-R that was a Rollover to a Roth 401K.
I have entered the information manually from the 1099-R.
The IRA/SEP/SIMPLE box between box 7 and 8 is blank.
Then the question asked is "Is this 1099-R reporting a rollover of funds from a 401(k), .. to a designated Roth 401(k) or Roth 403(b) plan?" I keep selecting 'Yes, this money rolled over to a designated Roth 401(k) or 403(b) account" but when I save the file, it is changing the response to 'No'. Why is this happening?
The next question is about making after-tax contributions to your 401(k). I select 'Yes, I made after-tax contributions to a 401(k)..." but TT is changing it to 'No'.
The next screen has the correct amount for the After-Tax Contributions to 401(k).
It was not from employment as a public safety officer.
I selected 'None' on the "Massachusetts Special Handling About This 1099-R".
Why is TT changing the responses? Is there a bug that needs to be corrected?
Thank you.

I've asked someone familiar with retirement/1099-R situations to help you.
