What's different?   Are you entering it in the 1099R section and picking the right kind of 1099R?   Sometimes the state boxes are numbered wrong on the actual form so put the info in the right box on the screen.

Which Form 1099-R did you receive?  Where are you seeing a difference?

Form 1099-R

Form CSA-1099-R

Form CSF-1099-R

Form RRB-1099-R

The Form 1099-R in TurboTax is the exact same IRS Form 1099-R - https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-prior/f1099r--2021.pdf

If you received a Form 1099-R you are trying to enter the form in the section for a W-2.  Delete the W-2 that you have entered.

To enter, edit or delete a form 1099-R -

  • Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
  • Click on Wages and Income (Personal Income using Home and Business)
  • Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
  • Scroll down to Retirement Plans and Social Security
  • On IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R), click the start or update button

Or enter 1099-r in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to 1099-R
