1099-R - Did you move this money from a 401(k) to a Roth 401(k)?

Hi

I have two 1099-Rs from my previous employer.

1. 1st 1099 R is for my Roth 401k amount from my previous employer, which was rolled over to my new employer which shows that amount under "Roth rollover".

2. 2nd 1099-R is for my 401k pre-tax plus company match amount from my previous employer, which was rolled over to my new employer, which shows that amount under "Rollover".

Now when I am entering my 1099-Rs, Turbotax asks me a question for my 2nd 1099R with the larger pre-tax amount that was rolled over - "Did you move this money from a 401(k) to a Roth 401(k)?"

Should this say Yes or no?

It doesn't ask me the same question for the first 1099-R with much lesser amount.

You would answer no.

If it were moved to a Roth, it would be taxed since it was first established with pre-tax funds.

TurboTax did not ask for the first 1099-R since it was already a Roth (already taxed when you set it up).
