1099-NEC for temporary, sporadic work for 8 weeks

My daughter helped a friend who is a mental health therapist run social groups for kids in her mental health practice after she graduated college and before her permanent job in another field. She did this once or twice a week for two months. She received a 1099-NEC from the therapist for the amount paid to her. I see the option to select 'sporadic' activity once I add the 1099-NEC. Can I select this box since she does not regularly do this type of work and does not a have business?

The income your daughter receives is considered self-employment income.  You will need to enter the Form 1099-NEC income she received on ‌Schedule C. ‌Your daughter will also be able to deduct the expenses she had.  Refer to the following TurboTax help articles for steps on how to enter the form and more information on what expenses you can include.
