Follow the steps below to enter your 1099-MICS.

  1. Open TurboTax.
  2. "Pick up where I left off."
  3. Federal > Wages & Income.
  4. Scroll to Miscellaneous Income, 1099-A, 1099-C > Edit or Add.

     5.  "Other income not already reported on W-2 or Form 1099" > Start or Revisit.

     6.  On the screen "Other Wages Received" select "Yes" > Continue.

    7.  On the screen, "Any Other Earned Income" select "Yes" > Continue.

     8.  On the next screen, select "Other" > Continue

Are you trying to use this address to e-file your return or is it just an issue when you enter your 1099-MISC?

You will usually need to file a form with the tax department of the US Virgin Islands to report income that was earned there. You will not be able to add this income to a US Form 1040.

From the IRS, Individuals Living or Working in US Territories/Possessions:

If you have income from one of these U.S. territories, you may have to file a U.S. tax return only, a territory tax return only, or both returns. This generally depends on whether you are considered a bona fide resident of one of the U.S. territories. In some cases, you may have to file a U.S. return, but be able to exclude income earned in a territory from U.S. tax. Filing requirements for specific U.S. territories are explained in Publication 570, Tax Guide for Individuals With Income From U.S. Possessions.

no help, nor is filing in USVI applicable in my case.  -  if you can not override to fix a problem and then cannot e-file - what good is it!

What is the 1099-MISC reporting? What type of income? Which box?

I don't even see where TurboTax asks for an address when entering a 1099-MISC, only the Payer name and EIN number.
