1099 Misc income is showing as self employed and generating a schedule c; I want it to simply show as other income on the 1040, line 21; realize self employed tax, etc

realize still have self employment tax, etc and can make a SEP contribution but don't want a schedule c

If you have income in box 7 of Form 1099-Misc, it is not your choice whether or not to have a Schedule C, it is required. Any services not included on a W-2 as an employee automatically is considered self-employment income.
