It is not necessary or a required entry for the Federal identification number on Forms 1099-INT.  You can proceed to enter the interest and move to the next entry.

.YOU ARE MADATORILY REQUIRED TO ENTER EIN for state returns..FEDERAL RETURNS WILL GET ACEPTED..BUT NOT STATE RETURNS..I HAVE A QUESTION..WHAT TO PUT IN EIN FOR STATE RETURS ON INTEREST RECIEVD FROM FOREIGN BANKS WHO DO NOT ISSUE 1099-INT OR DO NOT PROVIDE EIN
