1099-DIV and 1099-B

I sold all of the shares of a mutual fund in 2020.  I've received the 1099-B for the sale.  Will there also be a 1099-DIV this year, even though I no longer hold shares?

If, before you sold the shares, the mutual fund paid dividends in 2020 you should receive a 2020 Form 1099-DIV reporting those payments.

If you sold all the shares in 2020, you would not receive any dividends (or 1099-DIV) in 2021.

it depends on your fund's ex-dividend dates and whether you sold after that date or before.

1099-DIV is consolidated with 1099-B. It looks like you have no dividends.
