1040SR line 19 not updating amount from Schedule 8812

I decided to take a look over the hard copies before I e-filed.  My Form 1040 SR correctly calculates a total of $790 credit on line 21 based on what should be in line 19 $500 (Child tax credit from schedule 8812) plus a residential energy credit of $290 (from Schedule 3).   However, though calculated, the $500 does not actually appear on line 19.   This makes the calculation on line 21 appear to be in error ($0 + $290 = $790)   I did not yet file yet only because this could be a red flag delaying a refund.      Anyone else notice this omission?  Can TT Fix this post haste?

I will report this bug to TurboTax.

I guess you didn't notice that line 12c on Form 1040-SR is also blank. It's a similar situation. The correct amount is added in to line 14, even though it doesn't appear on line 12c.

You didn't say whether you are using TurboTax Online or the CD/Download TurboTax software. If you are using TurboTax Online there is nothing you can do except wait for TurboTax to fix the bug.

If you are using the CD/Download software, you can make it print Form 1040 instead of Form 1040-SR. Form 1040 will show the correct amounts on line 12c and line 19. In forms mode, open the Federal Information Worksheet. Scroll down a little to Part II, where your address is shown. A few lines below your address is a line that says "Print Form 1040-SR instead of Form 1040." On that line, click the No box. Then it will print Form 1040.
