1040 Rejected due to: FDI_8615Line7Box_ErrorHold How does one resolve this with no updates to TT as of 03/19/2020 5:20 PM PST?

On 03/20/20 the update on Form 8615 was installed on the Online version of TurboTax. You will need to back through the Form 8615 in the software to have the updated calculations to take effect. You should be able to e-file your return without being rejected.

It is March 20th.  If this form was updated how do I update on free online product?  I resent today and it was rejected again for same reason.

The fix for this specific Rejection I found, was not included in the 03/20 Update. That update was to correct calculation errors on the form.

 

The update for this rejection will be out in about 2 weeks.

Any news on this. My son's return was rejected for "FDI_8615Line7Box_ErrorHold" and I'd like to get it filed.

This issue has been under investigation and been fixed.  I would suggest you update the program and try to file again.

  • If you are using the TurboTax CD/Download software program, open the program, from the top, under Online, select Check for Updates.
  • If you are using the online version, it's an automatic update when you sign in and out.

Hi,

I have the CD and it did the updates but how would I know if the issue was fixed aside from efiling again?  What I owe still remains the same and it looks like the numbers on the 8615 forms are still the same.

 

Please advise.  Everytime I call support, its hit or miss who I get and how much they know of this issue.

I just need want to fix this and efile without them getting rejected again.
