1040 form routing and checking account not shown just shows XXX's?

Why doesn't routing and checking account number show on form 1040 when tax is owed?

would be nice to verify entered correctly.

The 1040 Form routing and checking number are not shown to protect your identity and for security reasons.

You can find your direct deposit account info on your Tax Return Summary.

  1. Sign in to TurboTax. If you're already signed in, select Tax Home from the side menu
  2. Scroll down to Your tax returns & documents and select Show
  3. Select 2021, and then select Add a State (you're not actually adding a state, this is just the workaround)
  4. In the left menu, select Tax Tools
  5. Underneath Tax Tools, select Print Center
  6. Then, Print, save or preview this year’s return
  7. Now check the 2021 Federal return box and select Include government and TurboTax worksheets
  8. Select View or print forms
  9. The first page in the pop-up is your federal return summary. In the first section, you'll see the bank account info you entered for your direct deposit

On the home page of TurboTax click Add a State.  That will get you back to TurboTax.  Go to Tax Tools, Print Cemter and print the option with all government forms and TurboTax worksheets.  Your bank information will be on first page of the pdf document.

Thank you so much. Not sure why TurboTax hide this detail. Wouldn't be possible without your reply.
