Why wasn't the additional deduction for over 65 included in Itemized deductions?

Married filing jointly.  Itemized deductions.  Amount subtracted from Gross Income was Total Schedule A itemized deductions.  Over 65 deduction not included anywhwere.

The extra $1,300 over 65 deduction is added to the "Standard Deduction" amount.  If you are itemizing your deductions, there is not an extra deduction included if you are over age 65.

If you take the standard deduction, there is a $1300 addition for over 65.  That is not applied to itemized deductions.
