Why is Turbotax telling me I don't qualify for the EIC when I only mad 18k and the IRS website says I do qualify even though I'm single & no kids?

Earned Income Credit—-the rules are back to the “old” rules—

Those under 25 and over 65 without children are not eligible as they were uniquely in 2021.   And you cannot use your income from any earlier tax year to get the EIC for a 2022 return.  There is no “lookback” for 2022.  EIC for 2022 will be based on the income you earned by working in 2022.

Please go through the Earned Income Credit section again and carefully read and answer the questions- these are required on the tax return to qualify you so if you answer even one incorrectly, you will disqualify yourself.

Thank you, but 2021 isn't referenced in my question nor in the link I provided. Still good to know though. Thanks again.
