Why is turbo tax recommending Plus and not free. I'm a senior citizen with only SS and pension for income. Any deductions are less than standard deduction

Plus is used with the Free online editions if you needed live assistance from TurboTax support.  If this type of support or the other options shown is not needed then just continue using the Free edition.  At the bottom of the page click on Not now for the Free edition column to Continue in Free Edition without additional benefits
