Why does TurboTax use an itemized deduction that is much larger than my actual itemized deduction

My actual itemized deductions total 9600, My standard deduction is 12000 but the program insists on entering 13600. I checked and rechecked Schedule A and all I can come up with is 9600. What gives? I can't delete Schedule A. All I can do is override things but I would like to use the larger (and incorrect) deduction but I'm afraid the IRS might think otherwise.

The standard deduction is increased to 13,600 if you are over 65 or blind.

If you are not over 65, or blind, you may want to check the birthday you entered, or the answers to the questions under my info.

Otherwise, enjoy the larger standard deduction!
