Why does the foreign earned income I reported does not show up in Form 2555-T?

You will need to complete your business income and expenses first in TurboTax.  After that information has been entered:

  1. Go to Wages & Income at the top of your screen
  2. Scroll down to Less Common Income
  3. Click on Start of Update next to Foreign Earned Income Exclusion
  4. On the first page, enter that the Foreign income was reported on a 1099-MISC or other self-employment income.
  5. Continue with the questions in that section
Please let me know if this does not answer your question.

Sorry, I should have specified that this income is a wage paid by an employer, it is not self-employment income.

No problem. If this is a W-2 you enter it as you would any other W-2 and a screen or two later, enter that you worked outside the US.  Then you need to follow the instructions in my answer above to get to the foreign earned income section of TurboTax and answer the questions regarding the wages for the FEI exclusion.

If you did not receive a W-2, go directly to the foreign earned income section of TurboTax and enter your income on the second screen as foreign wages and then go through the section and answer the questions.
