Why does Schedule A Intuit form say line 6a Did your home loan close after December 31, 2006?

I still have my mortgage loan still out, it's not paid off: It originated in 2010. 1098 is all uploaded and synced and the interest is all entered correctly in Home Interest wkst Why is there a Hard X in YES under this box saying " 6a Did your home loan close after December 31, 2006?"

I can't uncheck it.  Does a "closing of a loan" mean when you and the loan officer signed the paperwork way back when the loan "originated"

Or does "closing of a loan" mean you paid it off? I'm therefore confused why it's HARD X YES in that box saying  6a Did your home loan close after December 31, 2006?

If "originated" = "closed" then ok YES but if "originated" = "paid it off" then NO

"closing" as used here = origination date. why 2006? I have no idea, except possibly for state purposes.
