Why can't I see Schedule A in "Forms" if I don't exceed the standard deduction?

UPDATE: I FIGURED THIS OUT.  You need to open the  "Forms" link, and THEN also hit "Open Forms" to see forms that aren't actively being used for your return.


Why did they change the program so that we can't see Schedule A deductions if we don't exceed the "Standard Deduction"??  Prior years you could always access Schedule A even if your deductions didn't exceed the standard deduction.

You can still see the Schedule A by using the Open Forms feature and clicking on Schedule A. It is not in the forms list in the left column unless it is part of your tax return because it totals more than the standard deduction. It was the same way last year. I don't know about other prior years.
