Why am i prevented from inputting additional health premiums?

on tubo work sheet would not let me enter other health premiums = 8,864 which would have exceeded 7.5% of AGI by 7,511 .  Instead Tubo said standard deduction was best instead of itemized, but now I question that.

You have to have more than the amounts below to itemize.  If you do have more than that, Turbo Tax will take the better deduction, itemized or standard.

$12,000     Single or Married Filing Jointly

$18,000     Head of Household

$24,000     Married Filing Jointly or Qualifying Widow(er)

 

$  1,300     Extra for blind or over 65
