Where to enter deduction for software licenses?

I'm also self-employed and develop software. I needed to buy a software tool and license last year. I know I can deduct this, but where/how do I enter this in TurboTax? Is there a specific category like when you deduct a new computer?

Additional, thought if you buy a computer needed for work, you can deduct a part in three years. How to enter this for the last year? A part was deducted two years ago but forgotten last year.

Thanks.

You can enter the fees for license under Professional, the class fee can be entered under Other Expenses... where you put your own description and an amount.

Notes:

  • To be deductible, your expenses must be for education that either maintains or improves your job skills, or is required by your employer or by law to keep your salary, status or job. Expenses to learn a new trade or job aren't deductible.
  • As self employed- they are your business expenses; as an employee, they are your Job-related expenses in TurboTax.
