Where is the option to add vehicle expenses instead of submitting mileage?

It doesn't give me that option, I assume because I didn't use that method in previous years.

No, that is not true. To use the Standard Mileage Rate, you need to have used that the first year the vehicle was placed into service.

You want to use Actual Expenses, and that should be an option for you.

Go into the business profile

Scroll down to "Business Vehicle Expenses" under "Business Expenses"

You must first enter your mileage. This is needed to indicate to TurboTax how much business use the vehicle is so it can assign a percentage for depreciation if applicable.

After you enter mileage, you will see "You've go a standard mileage deduction of $XX.xx"

On that screen you are given the option to choose Standard or Actual expenses.
