Where do I find the place to add Foreign Earned Income and Exclusion if I am employed overseas and don't have a W2 form?

To enter Foreign Earned Income -

  • Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
  • Click on Wages and Income (Personal Income using Home and Business)
  • Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
  • Scroll down to Less Common Income
  • On Foreign Earned Income and Exclusion, click on the start or update button

Or enter foreign income in the Search/Find box located in the upper right of the program screen.  Click on Jump to foreign income

I only see a Wages and Salaries option. Where do I find Wages and Income?

I've found wages and income, but I don't see "I'll choose what I work on"

If you are using the desktop CD/Download editions, then just scroll down the page from Wages and Salaries to Less Common Income.  Foreign Earned Income will be in that section.
