When your child is living at college does that count as months living at home?

The student is on scholarships but I am also paying a portion and supporting him while he is away.

Temporary absences, like going to college are considered living at home.

Yes, this is a "temporary absence"

Your child is considered to have lived with you during periods of time when one of you, or both, are temporarily absent due to special circumstances like education.
