when will form 8936 be available for Tax year 2023?

using turbotax in 2024,  when will form 8936 be available for Tax year 2023? TT says "soon" like it said for more than a month now.   reading posts it sounds like last years availability was horrific.   Please help me get a accurate date.  Thanks

Many federal and state forms are not yet available.  Check here for form availability. The dates are subject to change.

No hurry to e-file since the IRS will not begin to accept/reject 2023 e-files until January 29.

Yup, I'm in the same boat.  Not having a form like 8936 ready for filing is quite a shot to the pocketbook. This form provides a significant credit of $7,500, so I would hope it would be ready soon -- I should not have to wait until late February for Pete's sakes. C'mon, Intuit!

Just read a thread from February 2022 that it took forever for Intuit to put this form into last year's TurboTax.  What's the delay?  The form is up on the IRS website.  Why have this delay AGAIN?

Really, nobody bought an qualifying EV in 2023?  Nobody needs the $7,500 credit?

Oh but the sad part still is that the related form 3800 for the business usage of the credit is still slated for 2/21.

Looks like Form 8936 is now available for TT Personal.  I was told today that Form 8936 for TT Business Windows is not even on the list of forms that will be added.  Since if a business buys a Clean Vehicle it will need to use Form 8936 to get the credit and pass it through to the owner's personal returns (S-corp), is there any plans to make Form 8936 part of TT Business???

You would report this in the General Business Credit (3800) of you business return. This section is not ready until 03/01.  To enter once this is ready go to Federal Taxes>other to access the General Business Credit section to report his.

form 3800 on 3/1?  That is BS.   it is continually being pushed out.  Mine says 3/6 now.

Thanks for the info.  From everything I see, the S-Corp has to file a Form 8936 (and 8936-A) and then the credit gets passed through to the shareholders on their K-1s, line 13.  And then that gets to Form 3800 as part of the 1040 return.  So as far as I can tell, we still need a Form 8936 for the S-corp return...

The Form should be available soon.  It is expected now by March 06.
