When I try to file my taxes, TurboTax says I need to upgrade as I have foreign assets, I don't. I unchecked the box but it keep rechecking itself. Any ideas on a fix?

Here are some ways  to help you address the concern with TurboTax insisting on foreign financial assets:

Review Foreign Assets Section:

  1. Sign in to your TurboTax account.
  2. Use the search box to type "form 8938" and select "Jump to link"
  3. Follow the prompts to confirm you do not have foreign accounts

Delete Form 8938:

  1. Sign in to your TurboTax account and select "Pick up where you left off."
  2. From the left menu, select "Tax Tools," then "Tools."
  3. In the pop-up window, choose "Delete a form."
  4. Find Form 8938 (Statement of Specified Foreign Financial Assets) and delete it

Check 1099-INT or 1099-DIV Forms:

  1. Use the search box (magnifying glass at the top right) to search for "1099-DIV" and click the jump link.
  2. Click on the pencil icon to review entries on the 1099-DIVs.
  3. Ensure that the "FATCA filing requirement" box is not checked on these forms. Sometimes, this box gets checked automatically when importing data
